Fast & Furious 7 - Review

So I saw Fast and Furious 7 earlier this week and it did not disappoint! There was so much more action in this and the story line made sense! Then obviously, the cars! Oh the cars, not going to lie, I almost shed a tear when they wreck a car! But the movie gets a definite 10/10 from me!

So I only recently started getting into the Fast and Furious franchise because I liked the look of this movie, and I would probably say I'm now a bit obsessed. The movie obviously picks up where the 6th movie left off, which I liked because it gave the movie a decent plot. Don't get me wrong, there was definitely some parts of the movie that were totally pointless, for example, the scene with Iggy Azalea. The scene with Azalea was just so pointless and unnecessary. She is literally in the scene no more than 10 seconds and this I'm glad about, because in my opinion, she should just stick to singing and avoid the acting business! She really only got the part in the movie because she sang a song which features in the movie, which again, is a pointless reason for her to appear in it!

Speaking of guests, there was a scene in the movie, probably my favourite scene, where Michelle Rodriguez's characters ends up fighting with professional MMA fighter, Ronda Rousey. I wasn't too sure on who Rousey was when I saw the film, but I could tell she wasn't an actor. That doesn't mean I think her scene was as irrelevant as the one with Azalea, because it just shows how badass the girls in these movies actually are. The scene involves Rodriguez fighting with Rousey and 3 other bodyguards (females might I add). All I can say is WOW! I love a good fight scene in a movie, and because Rodriguez isn't your typical girly girl, Rousey and herself actually fought and it made the scene much more realistic. This scene probably made the movie a lot more exciting than I thought it was going to be!

Now onto the cars. Ohh sweet lord they cars! I honestly thought I was going to cry at one point when they trashed Dom's Dodge Charger R/T! It wouldn't be Fast and Furious if they didn't trash a few cars, but this movie has definitely splashed out on the vehicles. Take a look at my other posts about the cars of Fast and Furious here.

Now obviously, we all known Paul Walker passed away before the release of the movie and didn't manage to finish filming all his scenes, but this movie is a definite tribute to him. His brother played him in some scenes of the movie, and you can obviously tell whats CGI, but they did a great job at hiding it because you do have to squint your eyes to see if its actually Walker or his brother. I thought the end scene was a brilliant and emotional tribute to Walker. Vin Diesel has always said Walker is his brother and the end scene proves this. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a tear in ever persons eye in the cinema hall at the time.

Actually on to the movie now, they do use some good actors to portray some good action scenes, the most obvious being Jason Statham. He is the ultimate action stunt man, because lets be honest, it would be rare for someone to take out The Rock, yet he managed to do it! The fights all looked so real which is always a plus in a movie!

Obviously I'm rambling now, but it's just because there is so much to say about this movie! I thought it was a failing franchise after the 3rd movie, but it's obviously managed to change my mind, because it's probably one of my movie franchises.
