The NEW Fantastic Four

The new generation of Fantastic Four superheroes have arrived, and they look better than ever!

The biggest superheroes we had back in the day were Batman and Spiderman, but this team came along and changed the image we have of superheroes. Besides X-Men, all superheroes usually work alone or with some sort of sidekick, but the Fantastic Four showed us superheroes working in a team...a really dysfunctional team at that.

Incase you haven't seen the movie, let me break it down for you! Basically Jessica Alba is Chris Evans sister but she also has an on-off relationship with Ioan Gruffudd and is like a daughter to Michael Chiklis...and they all fight Julian McMahon. Sounds boring but trust me, it was one of the movies you could watch over and over without getting bored.

Going off track here as this post is all about the NEW team who are playing the new Fantastic Four.

Looking at the actors who have been chosen to play the new quartet of superheroes, you could probably tell that they are a lot younger the actors chosen for the 2005 movie. Mr. Fantastic is played by Miles Teller who isn't that big an actor but was recently the lead in 2014 movie Whiplash. I reckon this could be the start of a big career for Teller.

We now have Kate Mara as our Invisible Girl, and let me tell you, she could give Alba a run for her money! Everyone will know Mara from TV show's House of Cards and American Horror Story but this is her first major movie role as a leading actress.

Michael B. Jordan was cast to play brother of Mara's character, Johnny Storm a.k.a Human Torch. Jordan isn't known as a lead in many movies, but more of a supporting role. He is known for movies like That Awkward Moment with Zac Efron and supernatural movie Chronicle. Before you ask, Mara is adopted in the movie!

Finally we have Jamie Bell who is playing The Thing. Not going to lie, I was pretty shocked at him being cast to play a huge rock basically since he played a dancer in Billy Elliot. I think it will be interesting to see how he portrays this sort of character.

By looking at the new cast, you could probably guess that the plot will be a lot different with regards to relationships between the characters and how much action is going to be in it. Have a look at the trailer and see for yourself how good this movie looks!

I for one cannot wait for this movie! It hits cinemas on the 7th August this year!
