Netflix Offline Browsing For The Future

I was on Netflix earlier watching Sons Of Anarchy, great show btw, when all of a sudden, my internet cut off so the episode cut off half way through which meant connecting to the internet again and reopening Netflix etc.

That is quite a long process, so as I was thinking to myself, Netflix's popularity has increased hugely over the last couple of years, so why have they not yet thought about offline browsing?

Personally, I think this would make Netflix more appealing than it already is! For example, the user could go on and simply save the TV Shows or Movies to their accounts which they can watch anytime, whether they are connected to the internet or not.

It would obviously be a very long and difficult process to achieve this, but I honestly think it would benefit Netflix in the future. Lets be honest, Netflix is probably just a fad, which I believe started due to Breaking Bad, and all fads eventually disappear. So Netflix, in the future, will start to become less popular. If you are looking at it from a marketing perspective, you would say that they are in the maturity stage of the business life cycle, and so will start to decline, but it can be avoided if they do just adapt technologically, putting them back in the growth stage.

Obviously this is just my opinion and a somewhat sort of rant about my slow internet, but this is something which I think should definitely be developed in the future!
