So as we all know, Emma Watson was cast to play Belle in the upcoming live action Beauty and The Beast, but what everyone wants to know; who's going to play her Beast?
A few friends and myself had a little debate about who we think would be the best actor to play alongside Watson in this disney remake.
So my friend, Jennifer, thinks the best person to play Beast would be Kellan Lutz basically because he looks like a beast! I suppose he sort of does after having to bulk up for his role in Hercules but, to be fair, I think he's more of a supporting role rather than a leading role. Sorry Jen but he's probably a no from me!
Tom however, thinks it should be played by someone more Prince like, which is why he suggested Ryan Gosling. I fully understand why Tom thinks this because the Beast was a prince after all, so they'll need someone who'll look good alongside Watson. I think Gosling would be a better choice than Lutz.
Then Danielle basically said the simplest comment ever; "I wouldn't mind who it is, as long as it isn't Channing Tatum". This I totally agree with! He's good for a comedy but I don't think he's good enough to work alongside Watson in what's set to be a huge movie blockbuster.
Finally, my friend Aimee thinks Hugh Jackman would make a good Beast. This is fully understandable considering he plays a Wolf in X-Men, but there is one downfall of Jackman working with Watson...he's old enough to be her dad! So I hope Jackman isn't in the running for the part.
I reckon trying to find the Beast will be a long process because they will need to have good chemistry with Watson, and I wouldn't be surprised if they put Rupert Grint or Daniel Radcliffe in the running for the part! A little Harry Potter reunion seeing as Emma Thompson is rumoured to play Mrs. Potts alongside her old costar.
Only Professor Trewlawney could predict the outcome of this situation.
